Job Opportunity: RN - Critical Care

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Position Details

• Specialty: RN - Critical Care (ICU)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts only (no straight nights or straight days)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Primarily 1:2, some 1:1 for higher acuity, and 1:3 during overflow or patient transfer status
• Unit Size: 39 ICU beds across three locations (CC2 - 12 beds, CC3 - 15 beds, CCW - 12 beds)
• Floating: Willingness to float to med/surg or step-down units required, with orientation based on skill set
• Orientation:

  • General nursing orientation via CLI
  • Computer-based training and competency test outs
  • EMR training
  • Department-specific training based on assessed needs
  • Preceptor shifts included
• Uniform: Navy Blue scrubs required
• Other: All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required
• Experience:

  • Minimum years of experience in Critical Care not explicitly stated; assume standard ICU RN experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified or required

• Located near the Iowa border with many outdoor activities available
• 36 hours per week expected
• Every other weekend work required
