Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Rotating shifts

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Massachusetts RN License (no conditional licenses accepted)
• BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)
• ACLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)
• PALS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: RN Emergency Room
• Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard ER RN experience expected (minimum 1+ years recommended)

Mandatory Training & Compliance

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days of start, updated annually)
• Color vision test (within 365 days)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine (required during flu season, no exemptions)
• TB test (skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break)
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days, updated if >6 month break)
• Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
• Optional but preferred: Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
• If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required

Additional Notes

• Primary source verification of license and certifications required within 30 days of start
• No religious exemptions for fit testing or influenza vaccine
• Fit testing updates can be done onsite only if assignment is extended beyond original contract

This position is ideal for experienced ER RNs licensed in Massachusetts who are comfortable with rotating shifts and meeting comprehensive credentialing and health requirements. Shared housing is provided, supporting travel nurses relocating to Nantucket for this assignment.
