Job Opportunity: RN LTC (Long-Term Care)

Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift
  • Shared housing available (no guests or pets)
  • Must have own transportation
  • COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations required

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • BLS Certification: Required for onboarding (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
  • Professional Nursing License: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
  • Fit Test: N95 fit test within 365 days of start, updated annually; no religious exemptions
  • MGB Nurse Aide Registry Check: Required within 30 days of start (MA DPH requirement)
  • MGB CNA Registry Checks: Required for all states candidate has lived/worked
  • COVID Declination Form: Must sign vaccination/declination form (MA DPH requirement)
  • MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Documentation of required vaccines or immunity via blood test
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions
  • TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break
  • Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
  • Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, including international searches if applicable
  • Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
  • Resume: Past 7 years of work experience with city and state included (required for submission)
  • References: Two recent references, at least one supervisor or above in skillset (required for submission)
  • Skills Checklist: Required for submission
  • Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions
  • Education Verification: Verified through background check company (not required for CNA positions)
  • SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, listing addresses/aliases for past 7 years
  • National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days of start and annually; includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid lists

Optional / Preferred

  • Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity: Strongly preferred
  • Tdap Vaccination: Preferred if within last 10 years
  • Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if applicable
  • TB Symptom Survey: If positive PPD, must be completed prior to start and updated annually

Additional Notes

  • No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start
  • No religious exemptions for vaccines or fit testing
  • Shared housing requires signing a housing agreement
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
