Medical Technologist (MT) - Night Shift

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Unit: Generalist Laboratory Technologist covering all lab areas
• Patient Population: Inpatient and outreach
• Bed Count: Approximately 200 beds
• EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience preferred as a Medical Technologist
• Certification: Medical Technologist Certification required (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or HEW)
• Skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience in CLIA-certified laboratory performing high complexity testing
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) preferred
  • Strong communication skills

Required Credentials and Compliance

• Professional license/certification primary source verification within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
• TB screening within 3 months of start (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
• Physician health statement within 1 year of start and updated if break >6 months
• Criminal background checks including state and national sex offender registry, CORI, and exclusion lists (OIG, GSA, Medicaid) within 45 days prior to start and updated annually
• Verification of highest education level achieved
• Resume including 7 years of work experience with city and state details
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• Confirmation of assignment form required for initial and extension assignments

Additional Information

• Weekend and holiday rotations required on day shifts (8-hour shifts) in addition to night shift schedule
• If positive TB test, documentation of a negative chest x-ray required
• Name change documentation required if credentials do not match legal name
• Background checks include detailed address history for past 7 years
• Various attestations and forms must be completed and updated as required
