Registered Nurse (RN) PACU - Perioperative Care
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work a mix of shifts:
- 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
- Shifts cover both preoperative and postoperative care
- Unit operational hours: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Information
- TB test updates required if there is a break in assignment longer than 6 months
- Health statement and background checks must be updated if there is a break longer than 6 months
- No fit testing can be done onsite; must be completed prior to start
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray (optional but recommended)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred but optional
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred but optional
This position is ideal for experienced PACU RNs with prior travel nursing experience seeking a long-term assignment with a structured weekday schedule in perioperative care.
