Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

Job Description

• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
• May care for boarded patients in the Emergency Department (ED).
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Must have at least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Onboarding Requirements

• Completion of nursing contingent worker onboarding modules and attestations.
• Submission of a forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).
• Completion of Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation.
• Submission of health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Confirmation of assignment documentation with accurate start and end dates.

Additional Information

• This role requires flexibility to float to other units or locations within a 40-mile radius as needed.
• The assignment length is approximately 13 weeks.
• Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
