• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 10-hour days (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)
• On-Call: Rotation includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Location: Kyle, Texas

Job Description

• Facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures.
• Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies.
• Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery as requested.
• Assist with patient preparation, transport, positioning, and draping.
• Maintain organized instrument counts throughout procedures.

Required Qualifications

Licensure / Certification

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist within the last year.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience,
  OR
• Associate's degree or Technical degree,
  OR
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Required Documentation and Compliance (Must be completed prior to or at onboarding)

• Current, unexpired Driver’s License or State ID matching address on file.
• Professional resume/profile.
• At least two professional references.
• License/certificate verification with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other required screenings within 90 days of assignment start.
• Employment verification for the past 7 years.
• Education verification relevant to clinical work.
• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment.
• Specialty exam demonstrating competency in surgical technology (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years).
• Core competencies training including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years).
• Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation completed prior to clearance.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
• Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted).
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Valid Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years (no declinations accepted).
• Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement.
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Fit test for respiratory protection required prior to or at start.
• Annual 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.

• Must be able to work on-call rotations including weekends and holidays.
