Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technician (Travel)
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Technician
- Setting: Outpatient
- Required to work on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve
- Equipment: GE Discovery 530C nuclear camera
Required Credentials & Certifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
- CRT/FL or RT (N) (ARRT) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be AHA)
- Current state license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year, updated yearly, minimum 80% score
- Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation
- Health and Immunization Requirements:
- MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Positive PPD/Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire (preferred)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within required timeframes
- Varicella: Proof of immunity or two doses of vaccine (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted
- Statement of Good Health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)
Professional Documentation & Verification
- Resume/Profile submission required
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks completed within 30 days prior to assignment
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
- Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
- Education Verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
- Confirmation of Assignment documentation on agency letterhead with accurate dates
- Employment Verification for past seven years, updated annually
Additional Notes
- Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form completed onsite by facility
- TB documentation and questionnaires must be updated annually or as required
- Breaks in service over 90 days require re-verification or re-testing of certain credentials and checks
