Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4 days per week
Additional Requirements: Weeknight and weekend call required with a 30-minute callback time
Job Description
Seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to work in a Level 1 trauma facility. The role involves supporting cardiac catheterization procedures and requires availability for on-call duties during weeknights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Professional credentials including a current resume/profile and at least two professional references
- Signed assignment agreement prior to onboarding
- Completion of specialty and core competency exams with a minimum passing score of 80%
- Background checks including criminal history and employment verification
- Health and immunization documentation:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine or mask compliance during flu season
- Varicella immunity (two vaccines or positive titer)
- Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements
Additional Notes
- All required documentation and verifications must be current and completed prior to or at onboarding as specified.
- Specialty competency exams and core competencies must be updated every 3 years.
- Background and employment verifications must be updated annually or after any break in service longer than 90 days.
- This position requires adherence to HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
This role is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technicians seeking a long-term assignment with a Level 1 trauma center, offering a structured schedule with on-call responsibilities.
