Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU (Night Shift)

Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (12 weeks)
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours/week, every third weekend

Job Description

Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting
Work night shift on a 12-week long-term assignment
Typical schedule includes 36 hours per week with every third weekend coverage
Required skills: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum of 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year
American Heart Association BLS certification
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Pros

Some of the staff are nice and helpful. Pretty big department.

Cons

Assignments can be heavy, got told I would be Neo/Peds, but I get floated everywhere (adults floors/ICU). Have to pay to park ($2/day) in further garage or $5 in closer garage. And the worst is 8hr assignments!
