Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 10 weeks

Job Description

• Develops, coordinates, and delivers care to telemetry patients
• Maintains professional nursing standards
• Supervises CNA/SNA or other healthcare workers as assigned
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
• RN to patient ratio: 1:6 or 1:7 (1:5-7 on night shift)
• Trauma Level II facility
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
• Dress code: Pewter grey scrubs (traveler must provide)
• Support from CNAs and certified monitor technicians for remote telemetry monitoring
• Commitment to safe patient care with adequate PPE availability

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Experience with reading monitors, cardiac drips, and post-surgical cases
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission
• BLS/CPR (AHA) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current documentation of Illinois Nurse Agency Certificate (required for submission)
• Must be fully COVID vaccinated
