Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care independently in the Emergency Department, following accepted nursing practices, medical direction, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records; promptly report changes or concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications.

• 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offering Medical, Surgical, Intensive Care, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Mental Health services.
• Provides a wide range of outpatient services including Pulmonary, Cardiac, and Physical Rehabilitation.
• Equipped with 24-hour Emergency Care, a fully equipped laboratory, and extensive Radiology department.
