Job Summary

Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on patients using highly technical Siemens equipment, including administering contrast materials as required. Responsibilities include preparing the scan room and patient, drawing up and administering IV/oral contrast, performing scans with attention to positioning and protocols, and preparing records for radiologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare scan room and patient for examination
• Draw up and administer IV/oral contrast as needed
• Perform warm-up procedures on Siemens MRI equipment
• Enter patient data and scan parameters; review patient history and previous exams
• Interview and screen patients for contraindications
• Position patients appropriately and perform MRI scans with attention to detail
• Ensure proper marking and ordering of images
• Prepare and verify clinical information and exam images for radiologist review

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of MRI experience (required)
• Equipment Experience: Siemens MRI experience (required)
• Education: Associate Degree (required)
• Certifications:

  • Active MRI Certification through ARRT or AMRIT (required)
  • Active American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Documentation:

  • Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to MRI (required)
  • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required)
• Location: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered)
• Scheduling: All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; no scheduling changes after offer

• Facility uses Siemens MRI equipment
