MS/Tele Travel Nurse

Schedule
- Day or night shifts
- 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
Unit Overview
- Mixed-acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for medical oncology patients
- Approximate census: 48 beds total
- High-acuity patient population
- Pediatric patients are extremely rare and are not expected to be assigned to agency staff
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an inpatient setting
Preferred
- Oncology experience
- Previous travel experience
Additional Notes
- Chemotherapy competence is not required
- Focus areas on the unit include infection prevention and fall prevention
- Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5, but may vary
- Weekend shifts are variable

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
