Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

• Travel/Contract Registered Nurse role in Washington, District of Columbia.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Day or night shifts, 3x12 hours.
• 36 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• First-timers accepted.
• Locals accepted.
• Pending license accepted.
• Guaranteed hours: 48.
• No on-call.
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend; blocked weekend scheduling is also open.
• Floating is required between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU.
• Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, ratio could be 1:3.
• Unit/setting: PICU, CVPICU, NICU.
• Facility type: Magnet, Teaching, Level Trauma I.
• Total staffed beds: 320.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in District of Columbia.
• Critical Care Float (2 years of experience).
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience working with NICU patients.
• Experience working with Pediatric Cardiac patients.
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience.
• CVPICU experience.

Preferred

• None stated.

Additional Notes

• Cerner charting.
• Scrub color: any, but must be child friendly and have no logos.
• RTO restriction: up to 7 days maximum; if taking 1 consecutive week, an extra week must be added to the end of the contract to make up the time.
