Labor and Delivery RN Travel Contract

• Monroe, Georgia

Assignment Details

• Night shift, 3x12 hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 12-week contract
• Travel/contract role
• Locals accepted

Unit Overview

• Labor and Delivery/Postpartum/Newborn care
• Must care for laboring patients from 35 weeks
• Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice
• No call
• Weekend rotation: every third weekend unless otherwise specified

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM/AWHONN on file before start
• Full compliance required before start

Schedule and Holiday Expectations

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off
• If assigned during major holidays, holiday work expectations apply based on how many major holidays fall within the assignment period

Pre-Start Requirements

• Photo ID
• Background check completed before start
• Education verification of related degree
• NURSYS verification
• Skills checklist within 12 months
• Verification of most recent employer
• 2 clinical references
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• TB questionnaire
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Flu vaccine or declination
• Color blind testing
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam
• Competency exam
• Review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policy

Notes

• Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length
• Start may be delayed by 2 weeks if compliance is not complete on time
