Neuro ICU Travel Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Omaha, Nebraska
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36- or 48-hour weekly schedule option

Unit Details

• 20-bed neuro ICU caring for adult patients with traumatic brain injuries, strokes, epilepsy, and other head traumas
• Patients return to the unit for post-op recovery
• Multi-acuity unit; may care for up to five med-surg patients
• Travelers float first and may float within scope to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certification
• 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital
• EVD experience
• Experience in a Joint Commission stroke-certified facility
• EPIC charting experience
• Not open to first-time travelers unless they have 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center

Schedule and Assignment Expectations

• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in each 4-week period
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Up to 2 weeks of requested time off permitted
• May float to multiple inpatient units, including Bellevue campus

Additional Requirements

• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Pending license accepted; if not in hand at submission, start will be booked 6 weeks out
• Facility is 100% nicotine free
• Scrubs are required: Steele gray with facility logo
