Cardiac Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
• 36-hour or 48-hour contracts accepted
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend coverage required: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Call not required
• Float required as needed
• Must be willing to work holidays
• First-time travelers accepted if they have 2 years of cardiac experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Experience working with Cardiac patients
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS
• MS/Tele/Step down experience

Unit / Clinical Details

• Cardiac Telemetry RN
• Unit diagnoses include atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, aortic stenosis/regurgitation, mitral regurgitation/stenosis, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, PVD/PAD, vasculitis, carotid stenosis, venous stasis, sheath management, and sheath removal
• Procedures include CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, amputations, other vascular surgeries, cardiac surgeries, thoracic surgeries, general thoracic surgery, post cath, post DCCV, post electrophysiology procedures, and pacemaker placements
• Special equipment includes Doppler, bladder scanner, EKG, femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, chest tubes, and epicardial pacing wires

• RTO after booking is not allowed
• More than 7 days of RTO is not accepted
• Candidates will be interviewed before an offer is made
