Travel/Contract role in Orange, California
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
13-week contract

Role Summary

The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients, assess and advocate throughout the continuum of care, and evaluate outcomes, discharge readiness, and need for referrals.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Cardiac Stepdown (1 year of experience)
Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic
BLS
NIH Stroke Certification
ACLS
CEUs completed within the last 24 months
Signed HIPAA acknowledgement
Unit-specific competency exam
Infection Control/Bloodborne Pathogens exam
Medication/Calculation Exam
Arrhythmia Recognition Assessment (EKG exam) for MS/Tele, Tele, Step Down, ER, ICU, IR, and PACU nurses
2 references within 1 year of start in the current specialty, from leadership if applicable
Employment application showing 1 of the last 2 years in specialty experience at a US facility
Government-issued photo ID
Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
N95 fit testing within 1 year of start, renewed annually
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
Hepatitis B series or declination
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
Flu vaccination or signed declination by the stated deadline
Hepatitis C titer or declination
Signed confidentiality agreement within 72 hours of signing
Signed unit-specific job description before start
Signed traveler acknowledgement
Signed orientation info and acknowledgement
Signed standard of care: skin care acknowledgement
Signed epidural pain policy review
Signed UCI traveler acknowledgement documents
