Job Description
- Must be willing to float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, Stepdown, and Medical-Surgical units as needed.
- Assignments will be appropriate to experience and float expectations.
- Recent Level 1 PICU experience required.
- Candidates with approximately 3 years of PICU experience may be considered if they are first-time travelers.
- Two supervisory references required, including at least one supervisor or manager reference.
- Highly preferred: 2 years of PICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid RN license in Ohio.
- Experience:
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience
- Stepdown experience
- Med Surg experience
- Certifications:
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Other: Driver's License

- First-time travelers with closer to 3 years of PICU experience may be considered.
- Must comply with facility float expectations.
- Fingerprinting results may pend at start; facility can complete onsite fingerprinting if needed.
- Candidates undergoing name changes must provide proof.
- Candidates with Ohio driver’s licenses within 60 miles of the facility may be considered local and not eligible for travel status.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Physical exam is not required to be submitted if the candidate signs the facility’s Infection Control Policy; however, a physical exam within 1 year is required for agency standards.
