Job Description

• Must be willing to float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, Stepdown, and Medical-Surgical units as needed.
• Assignments will be appropriate to experience and float expectations.
• Recent Level 1 PICU experience required.
• Candidates with approximately 3 years of PICU experience may be considered if they are first-time travelers.
• Two supervisory references required, including at least one supervisor or manager reference.
• Highly preferred: 2 years of PICU experience.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Experience:

  • PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
  • PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
  • Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience
  • Stepdown experience
  • Med Surg experience
• Certifications:

  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Other: Driver's License

• First-time travelers with closer to 3 years of PICU experience may be considered.
• Must comply with facility float expectations.
• Fingerprinting results may pend at start; facility can complete onsite fingerprinting if needed.
• Candidates undergoing name changes must provide proof.
• Candidates with Ohio driver’s licenses within 60 miles of the facility may be considered local and not eligible for travel status.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Physical exam is not required to be submitted if the candidate signs the facility’s Infection Control Policy; however, a physical exam within 1 year is required for agency standards.
