Nuclear Medicine Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Avon, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
• Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Hours: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• CNMT or NMTCB certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year residential/work history verification
  • SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
  • Education verification (may be pending at start if needed)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start date
• Fit mask test within 12 months (approved respirators only)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • TB test within 1 year (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations)
  • Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations or history accepted)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
  • Flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (no declinations accepted)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
• Skills checklist within 12 months and annually
• Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (verified within 2 years)
• Current employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Special Requirements

• Cerner experience required
• Must complete facility-specific orientation, compliance, confidentiality, and policy forms prior to start
• Must complete self-study orientation and test via DocuSign at least 1 week before start
• Must complete Look of Assurance packet prior to start
• Must complete background and competency exams as required by the facility

Additional Notes

• Locals are accepted for this travel/contract position
• Block scheduling may be discussed but is not guaranteed
• Shifts may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours with corresponding weekly hours adjustments (standard for this job is 4x10)

This position is ideal for Nuclear Medicine Technologists with at least 2 years of experience, who hold the required certifications and Indiana license, and are comfortable working in a community hospital setting with adult and geriatric patients.
