• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
• Total 36 hours per week

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in the specialty

Prior Travel Experience

• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) — AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred but not mandatory for this role
• Other certifications (e.g., TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification) are required only for ER or other specialties, not for this MS/Telemetry role

Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Illinois

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks within 1 year of start, including:

  • Social Security trace and county searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide and sex offender registry checks
  • Illinois Adult and Child Abuse Registry searches
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG annual checks
• Education verification with transcripts or diploma of highest nursing education
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Respirator fit test within 1 year, updated annually (N95 masks accepted)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or approved exemption
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual renewal required)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) for candidates born in 1957 or later
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination history
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation
• Drug screening:

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
• Professional references:

  • 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Annual competency exams and skills checklists as applicable

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
