Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, Thursday to Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
- Hours per week: Up to 36-40 hours guaranteed
- Work Settings: Outpatient, inpatient, Emergency Room (ER), community hospital, Adult ICU
- Patient Population: Includes trauma, inpatient, outpatient, and ER cases; requires cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native population with complex social histories
- Caseload: Daily caseload per technologist (not specified)
- On-call: Yes
- Floating: No floating within or to sister facilities
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 100 miles)
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
Licensure
- State License: Alaska State License required.
- Out-of-state compact licenses accepted with facility approval and proof of Alaska application.
- Pending licenses are not accepted.
Required Health and Compliance Documents
- Physical exam (renewed annually)
- Fit mask test (approved facility mask, renewed annually, must be completed prior to arrival)
- Proof of Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination
- Negative TB test (QGOLD, TSPOT, or PPD within 1 year) or chest X-ray if positive
- TB questionnaire (renewed annually)
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or facility-specific declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no instant tests)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (initial series or one J&J dose; medical exemptions accepted with doctor’s letter; declinations and religious exemptions not accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccine highly preferred; required or medical exemption with verifiable diagnosis during flu season
Background and Onboarding Requirements
- Standard background check within 90 days of start, including SS trace and county searches for last 7 years
- Education verification or diploma related to specialty required
- Transcript not accepted in lieu of diploma
- Fingerprinting not required for this facility
- Two clinical references required
- Clinical skills checklist required
- Completion of facility-specific pre-boarding and onboarding tasks through internal portal (profile registration within 72 hours of booking; all tasks completed at least 10 days prior to start)
- Required signed forms prior to start: personal data form, non-employee approval, badge form, background release, confidentiality statement, orientation handbook acknowledgment, addendum, and others as specified by the facility
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) AVADE certification required within 12 months of start (renewed annually)

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through. It's filled with cultural sites, including many museums and the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which offers stage performances and displays traditional crafts and replicas of dwellings from indigenous groups in the area. Top-notch eateries serving dishes with locally grown produce and fresh seafood abound, while the two roads running in and out of town lead to some of the world's most majestic wilderness areas.
