Job Overview
- Location: Lexington, Kentucky
- Setting: Travel/contract assignment
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00–16:30
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 14 weeks
- Call: Required once every 9 weeks
- Schedule note: Day shift hours may shift slightly due to scheduled patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kentucky
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- PET/CT experience
Work Expectations
- Provide care for patients in general nuclear medicine studies, including routine bone, gastric, hepatic, and renal studies
- If PET/CT trained, may rotate through the PET department
- Siemens camera equipment is used

- Background check
- Education verification
- State license verification
- NURSYS verification
- Two supervisor references
- Employment application with any gaps over 30 days explained
- Work history verification for 7 years of employment
- Physical exam
- Fit mask
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
- TB screening or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID, and flu documentation or approved exemptions
- Drug screening
- Annual competency, skills, and other facility-required testing/documentation as assigned
- EKG exam and annual EKG certification if required by the unit
- Pass/fail testing and competency exams as assigned by the unit
Additional Notes
- Call coverage on weekdays is typically late only if there is a late patient
- Weekend call coverage is from 8:00–17:00 for GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, and brain death cases
