Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Webster Springs, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4x10 hour days)
Work Setting: Primarily outpatient physical therapy clinic with occasional inpatient evaluations/treatments (observation/inpatient/swing bed patients)
Start Date: ASAP
Holiday Coverage: May float on holidays

Job Description

• Full-time physical therapist position providing outpatient care with some inpatient responsibilities.
• Schedule is four 10-hour days per week.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in West Virginia.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
• West Virginia Nurse Aid Registry check required prior to start.
• Fingerprint results may be required for certain placements.
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents and patient rights acknowledgment.
• Completion of mandatory CareLearning modules prior to start (approximately 3-4 hours).
• Submission of at least two clinical references within the past 2 years.
• Skills checklist required annually.
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.

Additional Information

• Must submit a complete application packet including candidate profile, specialty skills checklist, references, license verification, and all required certifications.
• Drug screen must include panels for amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, buprenorphine, cocaine, MDMA, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP, and ethanol.
• Flu vaccine documentation must include traveler’s name, administered date, lot number, manufacturer, site of injection, expiration date, and clinic information.
• Physical exam and immunization documentation must be current and compliant with facility requirements.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• The position may require floating on holidays occasionally.
• The facility accepts online license verification; no physical license card needed onsite.
