Registered Nurse - PCU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Avon, Indiana
Assignment Length: 8 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Hours per week: 48 hours
• Float required: Yes, may float to Med Surg with up to 6 patients
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
• Guaranteed hours options:

  • 8 or 10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours/week
  • 3 shifts of 12 hours totaling 36 hours/week
  • 4 shifts of 12 hours totaling 48 hours/week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with PCU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific orientation packets and tests prior to start (including self-study orientation and safety manual acknowledgment)
• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required)
• Complete all required facility-specific compliance and confidentiality agreements before start
• Parking is free at the facility
• Charting system used: Cerner
• Dress code: Black pants and red top

• First-time travel nurses accepted; local candidates not accepted
• Short-term acute care facility with staffed beds approximately 174
• Prior travel experience is not required for this assignment
