Job Description
- Position in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab as a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (CV RTR)
- Must be a Radiologic Technologist with significant EP Lab experience
- Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (07:30 AM - 06:00 PM)
- Call required: weeknights (6:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and weekends (Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM)
- Typically 1 weeknight call per week and 1 full weekend call per month
- No weekend shifts, only weekend call
- Primary duties include operation of fluoroscopy in the Cardiac Cath Lab, monitoring and scrubbing procedures, assisting with supply and equipment management, unit development projects, and other assigned duties
- Cross-training to EP procedures and support as needed
- May assist in TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and TMVR (Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement) procedures in the Hybrid OR room
Requirements
- Current ARRT credential and Oregon OBMI license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA provider only, traditional AHA cards required)
- TAVR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and pediatric experience preferred but not required
- Call availability as described above
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS: AHA provider only, employer-verified e-cards required
- ACLS: AHA provider only, traditional AHA cards required
- PALS: Preferred, AHA provider only if held
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): AHA/AAP only (if applicable)
- State license verification required (primary source verification within 60 days prior to start)
Compliance & Background Checks
- Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day
- Background check within 6 months of start, including:
- Education verification (primary source)
- Work history verification (last 2 employers, minimum 7 years work history)
- National Sex Offender Search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel with methamphetamines listed, within 3 months prior to start
- References: Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months required
- Physical exam: Required to meet Aya Healthcare standards (within 1 year of start)
- Fit mask test: Required within 1 year prior to start (N95 or equivalent)
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (vaccine or signed declination)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- TB questionnaire
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Immune titer, vaccines, or signed declination
- Hepatitis B: Full vaccine series, immune titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: Immune titer, vaccines, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or signed declination (deadline 12/01/2025)
- COVID-19 vaccine strongly recommended; declination requires mask use and signed waiver
Additional Information
- Must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date (notify recruiter of any planned unavailability)
- Professional appearance policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Facility-specific orientation and training modules required before badge issuance
- Medication override test and other orientation materials provided for RNs (if applicable)
- Respirator clearance and fit testing may be completed onsite if necessary
- Vaccine declination/waiver forms must be signed if applicable
- Candidates must complete required Compass training modules prior to start (varies by role)
