Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech (EP Tech)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
- Coverage: EP late/call coverage as needed
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Electrophysiology Tech specialty
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Required Licenses
- Must hold a valid license appropriate for Electrophysiology Tech role (per specialty and discipline)
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Required immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Background and Verification
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education verification required (highest level)
- Work history verification for 7 years
- Driver’s license or state ID required
- E-Verify and other federal background checks upon hire
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Color blindness test required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance
Uniform
- Scrubs provided (Royal Blue)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, with experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
