Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Friday to Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (overnight shifts)
• Holiday rotation required (must work at least 50% of holidays)
• Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Work during inclement weather may be required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• Experience in ER, ICU, and OR settings required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC Provider card)
• State of Missouri Radiology Tech license (if applicable)
• Additional certifications may be preferred or required depending on patient population (e.g., ACLS, PALS) but not explicitly required for this role

Physical & Work Environment Demands

• Active role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
• Frequent contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to work full term at assigned location
• Ability to work full shift hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to take call as needed

Required Background & Health Documentation

• 7-year background check within 60 days of start
• E-Verify documentation
• Drug screening (7 panel negative within 60 days)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved exemption
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year (not required for some tech roles)

Additional Requirements

• Photo ID and valid driver's license or state ID
• Professional references (2 within last 2 years)
• Resume with at least 7 years of employment history, no gaps over 30 days
• Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments (e.g., confidentiality agreement, safety manual) within 60 days of start
