Position Details

- Shift: 4 shifts of 12 hours, Day shift (4x12 DNV)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, as needed by unit
- Floating: Yes, within hospital only (no floating to sister hospitals)
- Block Schedule: Not open to block scheduling unless otherwise stated
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Maximum 1 week

- Years of Experience Required: 2 years (highest requirement)

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) national certification
- Washington State Respiratory License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable by unit)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs/LVNs/LPNs)
- Color Blind Testing
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (unit dependent)
- Conscious Sedation Competency Exam (for GI Lab/Endo RNs)
- State License Primary Source Verification
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (required by agency)
- Fit mask test within 9-12 months of start (3M N95 preferred; PAPR available onsite if needed)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination required)
- Varicella (titer or vaccines required; history of disease not accepted at this facility)
- 10 Panel Drug Screen (required by agency, not facility)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption/declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccination or declination (required for tracking)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge (DMV style, no selfies) due prior to start
- Completion of UW email setup and learning modules prior to start
- WA License Complaint Clearance for all using WA State License
- EPIC Integration video and attestation for all RNs
- Various agreements and checklists to be signed prior to start
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Guaranteed hours subject to census; may be called off or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to one shift in a 2-week cycle
- No on-call required, but floating within hospital units is expected
- Performance evaluation requested at end of assignment (Montlake location only)
This position is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience, current Washington State licensure, and required certifications, looking for a travel contract in a Magnet, teaching hospital setting in Seattle.
