• Floating: Yes, must float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units

• Locals Accepted: No (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
• Pending License: Not accepted
• Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (annual renewal required)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) with a minimum score of 80% (3 attempts allowed)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for multiple units including Med Surg, Tele, ICUs, Step Down, and others

Background Checks & Verifications

• Background check required within 6 months of start
• Education verification or diploma/transcript required
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days (specific substances listed)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (no declinations accepted for new candidates)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted for new candidates)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
• Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions require facility approval and must be resubmitted annually
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required but documentation is accepted if available

Additional Notes

• Guaranteed hours policy: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed
• Return staff and contract limits are strictly enforced
• Facility has a 50-mile radius rule for locals; no local hires beyond this radius
