Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT)

Location: Seneca, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Patient Age Group: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Medication System: Omnicell
• Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year EPIC experience required)
• Preferred Experience: Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I and II
• Prior Travel Experience: No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
• Current certifications in:

  • ACLS (AHA or ARC, RQI acceptable)
  • BLS (AHA or ARC, RQI acceptable)
  • NRP (AHA Advanced only)
  • PALS (AHA or ARC, RQI acceptable)
• Experience working with Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 12 months including 7-year work and residence history
• E-Verify or attestation
• Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually (5 panel minimum)
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and/or titers for:

  • TB (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot within 90 days)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, positive titer, or declination)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (for high-risk areas)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved exemption (not required for remote workers)
• Respirator Fit Test to be completed onsite during orientation
• Photo for badge (passport style, specific background and lighting requirements)
• Online Cornerstone Modules (approx. 12 hours) must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
• Pass/Fail Testing (Medication and Arrhythmia exams) required prior to start
• Annual competencies and core training exams (Parts I, II, III) with minimum 80% passing score
• HIPAA and OSHA training acknowledgment

Additional Notes

• Floating policy acknowledgment required (annual)
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred but may not be required immediately for ER candidates
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
• Candidates must carry a valid driver’s license for computer access setup
• No remote work option for this position; all clinical requirements apply onsite

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with prior travel contract experience, comfortable working night shifts in a trauma and teaching hospital environment, and proficient in EPIC documentation.
