Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (Travel/Contract)

Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Call Requirements:
- 4 hours on Sunday call (only for weekends scheduled to work)
- Weekend Requirements:
- Every other Saturday (8 hours)
- On-call Sunday (4 hours)
- Flexible day off the week before and adjusted hours the week after if called in on Sunday
- Floating: Will float between inpatient rehab and acute care units
- Holiday Requirements: Optional holiday shifts paid at time and a half
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience & Licensure
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- License:
- Must have full state license in hand by start date (pending license accepted before start, but no temporary licenses)
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- State License
Additional Requirements
- Residency: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no locals accepted)
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Free
Compliance & Documentation
- Background Check: Required within 90 days of start, covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
- Education Verification: Diploma or transcript required
- Physical Exam: Required
- TB Testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Qgold within 1 year (T-Spots not accepted)
- Immunizations:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines; booster if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination
- Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines; booster if low titer
- Drug Testing: Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
- Flu Vaccination: Required for flu season (October–May) or approved medical/religious exemption prior to start
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Medical and religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
Orientation & Training
- Modules:
- 70-80 modules to be completed prior to start (approx. 8-10 hours)
- Modules due by 1 PM CST Friday before start date
- Paid time for module completion
- No new modules required if worked with the system within the past year
This position is suitable for first-time travel therapists.
