Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Los Angeles, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 4x10 hour shifts, Days (07:00 - 17:30)
• 5 weekdays and 1 weekend per week

Unit Details

• 4 procedure rooms (3 cath lab rooms + 1 dedicated EP lab)
• Caseload: Approximately 3 cases per room
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Scrubs Provided

Procedures Performed

• Cardiac catheterization and intervention
• Structural heart procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman)
• Peripheral vascular angiography and intervention
• EP ablations and device implants

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in Cath Lab, Structural Heart, and EP
• Prior travel experience NOT required (accepts first-time travelers)

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Fluoroscopy Permit

Required Skills

• Surgery/C-Arm Procedures
• Scrub technique
• PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Fluoroscopy studies
• Stents, angioplasty, angiograms
• Peripheral upper/lower extremities vascular/venous studies

Important Notes

• Return to Office (RTO) documentation must be submitted prior to contract start
• Fire Card specific to Los Angeles required (2-week grace period allowed after start)
• Pass/fail testing for Dysrhythmia/EKG may be required onsite
• Various competency exams and background checks required prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year required, confirming fitness for duty and communicable disease free
• Drug screening (7 panel) required within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and health documents required, including TB test, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu, and COVID vaccination or approved declination
• Mask fit testing required as per unit guidelines, with religious exemptions available
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), or VIP training required for certain clinical roles
• Harassment Prevention Training required (1 hour for non-supervisory clinical staff)
• Professional references and employment history verification required

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for a Cath Lab Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience in cath lab, structural heart, and EP procedures. The position offers a 4x10 day shift schedule with a mix of weekday and weekend coverage. First-time travelers are welcome. Candidates must hold required certifications and pass various competency exams and health screenings prior to starting. The role involves working in a busy adult to geriatric patient population with a variety of cardiac and vascular procedures.
