Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical LVN / LPN (Travel/Contract)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: LVN / LPN
• Shift: Nights (48 or 36 hours shifts; indicate preference)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Nursing Ratio: 1:7 (team nursing; additional support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed (no weekend block schedule, but weekend block may be considered)
• Locals Accepted: No (strict 100-mile radius rule)
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted unless 3+ years recent experience
• Travel Experience: Required (prior travel experience mandatory)
• Level I Trauma Experience: Required
• Large Hospital Experience: Required
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• IV Certification
• Experience working with Level I Trauma patients

Experience & Skills

• Recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing with at least 3 years preferred
• Experience in Level I Trauma Center environment
• Experience working in large hospital settings
• Prior travel nursing experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)

Additional Requirements

• Must provide two recent professional references
• Background checks including statewide, county, federal, education verification, sex offender search, and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry (for TN facilities)
• Compliance with all facility-specific documentation and submission requirements
• Photo badge meeting strict guidelines required prior to start
• Must comply with all facility policies including dress code and confidentiality agreements

Work Environment

• Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Team nursing model with support from PCC and RNs
• Night shift with flexible scheduling but no block weekends (weekend shifts as needed)

This position is ideal for experienced LVN / LPN nurses with trauma and large hospital experience who have prior travel nursing experience and are ready for a night shift travel contract in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
