Job Opportunity: Tele Float Nurse

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Must be willing to float between units
• Must be willing to flex shift start time by up to 4 hours before or after scheduled time based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Release (criminal background clearance)
• Education verification (highest completed education)
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Drug testing within 30 days prior to start (specific drug panels required)
• Immunizations or valid declinations for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Tuberculosis screening: Two PPD tests or equivalent within required timeframes; chest X-ray if positive
• References: Two professional references within the last three years
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Additional Notes

• This is a float pool position requiring flexibility to work in different units as needed
• Telemetry monitoring experience and competency are critical for this role
• Candidates must be prepared for strict pass/fail testing policies related to medication and telemetry exams
• Background checks and compliance attestations must be completed and uploaded prior to assignment start

This position is ideal for experienced telemetry RNs who are adaptable, able to work night shifts, and comfortable floating across units.
