Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 4 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- On-call required: Overnight (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM) 1-2 nights per week and 24-hour weekend coverage (1 weekend per month)
- Assignment includes assisting with OR procedures, endoscopy procedures, inpatient, day patient, and outpatient workflows across multiple work sites
- Responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians during cases using complex radiologic imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, ultrasonography, and cone beam CT
- Preparing patients and supplies under sterile conditions, scrubbing in with physicians, and assisting with procedures as needed
- Obtaining x-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Providing patient care during examinations in collaboration with other staff
- Operating automatic injectors and selecting appropriate contrast agents under physician direction
- Working independently while on-call with department physicians and nurses
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- ARRT certification
- OBMI certification
- BLS certification (AHA provider only)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day
- Background check within 6 months prior to start, including education and work history verification
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel with methamphetamines listed, within 3 months prior to start
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination/declination documentation
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (deadline December 1)
- Fit mask testing within one year prior to start (N95 or equivalent)
- Completion of facility-specific compliance modules prior to start
- Two professional references from supervisors within the last 24 months required
- Employment application with at least 7 years of work history including city and state for each position
Additional Information
- Must review and sign professional appearance policy and job description prior to start
- Required to complete facility-specific orientation and training modules before badge issuance
- Onsite respirator clearance and fit testing may be required if not completed prior to start
- Candidate must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date; planned absences must be communicated in advance
This position offers a dynamic role in a high-acuity environment requiring advanced technical skills and the ability to work independently during on-call hours. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in interventional radiology procedures and be comfortable working in a fast-paced OR and endoscopy setting.
