Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Neenah, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Specialty: Home Health Nursing
• Minimum Experience Required: 1 year recent experience in specialty
• Patient Load: Average 5-7 patients per day (geriatric cases)
• Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours, minimum 30 points weekly
• On-call: Yes (details to be discussed during interview)
• Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from the office hub
• First-time travelers: Not accepted
• Locals accepted at travel rate
• Charting: Must be completed by 9 AM the following morning
• Communication: Timely communication required
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Technology Provided: iPad provided, cell phone not allowed
• Mileage Reimbursement: Yes, at IRS standard rate
• Flexibility: Traveler expected to be flexible with territory

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand for Wisconsin
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, ARC, Military acceptable)
• Minimum 1 year recent Home Health nursing experience
• Must have experience with OASIS and HCHB Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Ability to manage geriatric patient cases
• Must be able to complete all required documentation and communication in a timely manner

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Comprehensive background checks required within 90 days of start, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • FACIS Level 1
  • Nationwide Sex Offender Registry
  • Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
  • Education and Work History Verification
  • State-specific searches as applicable
• Fingerprinting may be required depending on placement state
• Education verification of highest degree related to nursing
• NURSYS license verification within 90 days of start and upon expiration
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or facility-specific declination form
  • COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination
• Signed acknowledgment of Orientation Safety Manual (updated annually)
• Proof of current auto insurance required due to driving responsibilities

Additional Requirements

• Must provide 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Complete employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Compliance with facility-specific policies and documentation prior to start

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Flexibility with travel territory and schedule is expected
• Candidates must be prepared to adhere to strict documentation and communication timelines
