Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Shift: Night (Thursday - Saturday, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Urgent backfill position with a firm schedule (Thursday to Saturday, no on-call).
• Support needed in multiple surgical specialties including robotic XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and Trauma Level 2.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in surgical services.
• Prior travel experience is required.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) Certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted (if applicable).
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, CHEMO, EFM, ENPC) — refer to job specifics.
• State license verification and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior travel experience.

  • Agency Checklist
  • COVID declination if applicable
  • HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Orientation and Safety Training Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology testing required as applicable.
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start.
• Resume or employment application required.
• Skills checklist updated annually.

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of surgical services experience and prior travel experience. The position requires night shifts Thursday through Saturday with no on-call duties. Candidates must meet extensive certification, licensing, health, and compliance requirements prior to start.
