Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract

Location: Escondido, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours


Job Description

  • Seeking a seasoned Case Manager able to handle a full workload.
  • Must have inpatient case management experience.
  • No local candidates accepted.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of case management experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience in an inpatient setting.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Certifications (as applicable to RN Case Manager role)

  • BLS (AHA only) - must carry a copy at all times.
  • Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CHEMO, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and others may be required depending on unit or specialty but are not explicitly required for this case manager role.

Compliance and Background Requirements

  • 7-year background check including county criminal, national criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, OIG/GSA, and EPLS/SAM checks within 30 days of start.

  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or declination.
  • TB screening: 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year and updated annually; chest x-ray if past positive.
  • Annual TB questionnaire if past positive.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination form required prior to October 31 each year.
  • COVID vaccination preferred but not required; declination form if unvaccinated.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license or state ID with address (front and back copy required).
  • Badge photo with white background and shoulders included (no selfies).
  • Completion of online orientation prior to start.
  • Pass/Fail arrhythmia exam and medication/pharmacology competency exams with minimum 80% pass rate.
  • Compliance with facility-specific training modules assigned via LMS platform.
  • HIPAA acknowledgment and other facility safety acknowledgments required.
