Job Details

• Shift: Nights (48 or 36 hours shifts; indicate preference upon submission)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Nursing Ratio: Approximately 1:7 (team nursing with support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed (no weekend block schedule, but weekend block may be considered)
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (strict 100-mile radius rule)
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing (LPN/LVN), with experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Level I Trauma experience
• Large hospital experience
• IV Certification
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Job Requirements

• Must comply with all licensure and credentialing requirements at time of submission
• Strict submission rules: candidates cannot be submitted to multiple job IDs/facilities simultaneously
• Must be able to work night shifts with flexibility for on-call and weekend coverage

Certifications & Training Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for this specialty/unit
• Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, or tech certifications are not specified as required for this role

Background & Compliance Checks

• Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only) required
• Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (proof of vaccines or positive antibody titers with boosters if needed)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30)
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance accepted)
• Fit test for 3M N-95 masks within 1 year of start (must pass without limitations)

Additional Requirements

• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluation required for candidates employed with agency for one year or more
• Photo for badge with strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for nurses; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed

Summary

This is a night shift travel contract for an experienced Medical Surgical LVN/LPN with strong trauma and large hospital experience. Prior travel experience and IV certification are mandatory. The position requires strict compliance with licensure, background checks, immunizations, and facility-specific policies. Local candidates outside the 100-mile radius are not accepted. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
