Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - SICU

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (SICU)
Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
First-time travelers: Not accepted
Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend
Floating: Will float within scope to other units, primarily other ICUs
Schedule Flexibility: Open to block schedule requests (discuss with manager)
Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
License: Must have an active Illinois RN license in hand to apply
Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or equivalent
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or equivalent
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Required Qualifications & Compliance

Valid RN license in Illinois
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) RN experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS certification

Additional Notes

Candidates must be prepared to work night shifts and float as needed within ICU units.
Candidates must be able to work every other weekend.
This position does not accept first-time travel nurses.
Background checks and health documentation must be current and compliant with Illinois state and facility requirements.
Parking permit is required but provided at no cost.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced SICU RNs licensed in Illinois who are comfortable with night shifts and floating within critical care units.
