Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in an in-patient acute hospital respiratory therapy department providing a full spectrum of respiratory care services.
- Night shift schedule with no on-call requirements.
- Must be willing to be cross-trained in other areas.
- Unit accepts first-time travelers.
- Return to office (RTO) requirement: 5 days or less during the 13-week contract.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Oregon.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
Certifications & Training
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider only.
- RRT credential.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and other certifications may be required depending on facility policies (verify with recruiter).
- Completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start (e.g., privacy, harassment prevention).
- Fit testing for respiratory masks required within one year prior to start (must be completed through agency, not onsite).
- Compliance with facility’s professional appearance policy.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 6 months prior to start, including education and work history verification.
- National Sex Offender Search and other federal/state checks completed within 30 days prior to start.
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel test including methamphetamines within 3 months prior to start.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or signed declination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination/declination documentation.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (deadline December 1, 2025).
- Physical exam not required unless specified for certain transport roles.
- Two professional references from supervisors/managers within the last 24 months required.
- Application must include at least 7 years of work history with city and state for each position.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be fully available for compliance needs up until their start date.
- Facility requires signing of job description, professional appearance policy, coronavirus protocol attestation, and vaccine declination/waiver forms if applicable.
- Facility-specific orientation and training materials will be provided and must be completed prior to badge issuance.
- Medication override test and other competency exams may be assigned after start.
- Facility does not require annual updates for background checks or drug screens unless there is a gap of 30+ days between assignments.
- Candidates who fail fit testing may be required to complete Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) training.
