• State License
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) by AHA
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - pending acceptance
• NIH Stroke Certification

Experience

• Required: Level I trauma experience
• Preferred:

  • 2 years minimum experience
  • Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience
  • Triage experience
  • EPIC charting experience

Additional Information

• Unit Description:

  • Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department.
  • Currently experiencing high patient-to-nurse ratios (1:5-6, could be up to 8 during peak times).
• Traveler Expectations:

  • Must agree to work 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4-week schedule.
  • Acknowledge high patient ratios.

Documentation and Health Requirements

• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam (within 12 months)
  • Tdap Vaccine (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Drug Testing (10 panel)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation (for the 2024-25 season)

• Background Check:

  • Must be completed within 30 days of assignment start date.

• References:

  • 2 references from previous employers required.

• Resume:

  • Current resume including work history is required.

Education Requirements

• Minimum Education:

  • RNs must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required for all other candidates.
