Job Description

• Orientation Information:

  • Orientation is held at the Providence Office Park Building, near Portland Medical Center.
  • Orientation occurs every other Monday.
  • Upcoming orientation dates:

    • 2024: 12/09, 12/23
    • 2025: 1/06, 1/21, 2/03, 2/17, 3/03, 3/17, 3/31, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, 5/27, 6/09, 6/23, 7/07, 7/21, 8/04, 8/18, 9/02, 9/15, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/10, 11/24, 12/08, 12/22

• Floating Requirements:

  • Clinicians must be willing to float to any location they elect to add to their per diem pool.
  • Locations include:

    • Providence Milwaukie Hospital
    • Providence Portland Medical Center
    • Providence Saint Vincent Medical Center
    • Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center
    • Providence Newberg Medical Center
    • Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital
    • Providence Seaside Hospital

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the specialty.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (must be AHA)
  • EPIC experience required
  • 2 References required (must be Charge RN or Supervisor)
• Additional Certifications (as applicable):

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Other certifications may be required based on specific unit needs.

Additional Details

• Charting System: Epic
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Separation Policy: 3-month separation

Application Requirements

• Documentation:

  • Background check covering all locations lived/worked within the past 7 years.
  • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment.
  • References covering 1 year of employment for RNs and 6 months for CNAs.
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • TB test or chest X-ray.
  • Vaccination records (e.g., Tdap, Flu, COVID-19).

This position offers a flexible work schedule as a per diem Registered Nurse within a supportive healthcare environment.
