CT Technologist

Overview

• Location: New York, NY
• Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 37.5 per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York
• CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT
• Experience using Siemens NAETOM ALPHA PEAK equipment
• Experience using Philips Brilliance ICT 256 equipment
• Cardiac CT experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic images
• Complete daily quality control calibration checks and equipment safety tests
• Inject patients with radioactive material per physician order and prescribed protocol
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
• Maintain required documentation, logs, manuals, and charge documents
• Manage patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance and verify receipt and activity level before administration
