  • Build long-term, meaningful relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
  • Work as part of a small interdisciplinary team including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and physicians.
  • Engage in specialized, complex care for patients with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
  • Fast-paced environment overseeing up to 12 patients and up to 3 Patient Care Technicians.
  • Typical shifts are 12 hours, 3 days per week, Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays), with shift times between 4am-10pm. Some holiday work required.
  • Participate in clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient health.
  • Must have a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Emphasis on delivering empathetic and compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent dialysis experience (within the last 2 years) in Chronic/In Center dialysis.
  • Experience assessing, troubleshooting, and making sound recommendations in stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Medical Surgical settings is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (Graduate Nurse pre-licensure available in some locations).

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Dialysis experience is required despite the note that dialysis experience is not required in the general description; the higher requirement from additional info (1 year recent dialysis experience) takes precedence.
