Mammography Technician - New York, NY

Job Description

  • Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors.
  • Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled according to department SOP.
  • Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
  • Complete all studies in IDX system.
  • Accurately record all required patient tracking information.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Approximately 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 9 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in New York
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Must maintain MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) requirements
  • Experience working effectively and efficiently with Epic system
