RN - OBS

Overview

• Role: RN - OBS
• Location: Golden, Colorado
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
• Schedule: Rotating weekends
• Unit/setting: Step-down/PCU candidates only
• Floating: May float to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and an acuity adaptable unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Observation experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Certification as appropriate for the unit or service

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions
• Provide health teaching and health counseling
• Provide therapy and treatment supportive of life and well-being
• Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Float as needed based on business need
• Be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift if required
