Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ED Observation unit requiring step-down/PCU experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- ED Observation unit within a hospital setting
- Step-down/PCU candidates only
- Night shift: 3x12hr shifts, 1900-0730
- Rotating weekend requirement
- 36 hours per week
- Float requirement to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable units (e.g. insulin drips, sepsis patients)
- May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license, Colorado or Compact required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- ACLS (AHA) certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Certifications must not expire prior to start date
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Conduct health teaching, counseling, and therapy/treatment for patients
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
- May float to other departments within scope of competency based on business need
- Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible
- First-time travelers may be considered
